'Rock the wall' contest

Hey everyone, I'm quite busy this month, I'm back to work with the vicino/lontano cultural association and we are preparing the 7th edition of the festival!

This is a poster that I created for the 'Rock the wall' contest about saving energy. It wasn't among the selected works but I'm quite happy with it, so I decided to post it here!

Flour power

In this difficult time of economy crisis we really need to think before we buy something.
In Italy we have products called "zero km", which means that they (mainly food) are from your local area. Choosing local you can save the small producers/farmers and the environment, beacuse food trasportation is one of the main reasons of air pollution! I like cooking and finally last week I have found my flour of "zero km"!!!

Summer update

Hi everyone!!! I didn't have any free time to look after my blog in the last month... I'm really sorry for that, there are so many things to say.

First of all, I was in an international camp called "Go Green" in Esslingen, Germany with a group of youngsters from Udine!!! For the first time, I was asked by the Youth Agency of Udine to be the groupleader. So of course I said: YES! And we started our 10-day holiday, the only that I managed to have this summer (there's a lot of work to do...). We stayed in a beautiful hotel all eco-friendly for a couple of days, and then we moved to a camp near lake Hoplfensee. In the nature! Without electricity and "european" bathroom! With a lot of moschitos and bugs and all the things that you are not used to if you live in the city... First when we arrived I thouht: O my God, I will never survive...! But it was such a great, relaxing experience, and I really proud of myself, at the end, with all the spiders around I had the time of my life! I'm so happy I got to know very nice people from Europe: from Germany France, Poland, Bielorussia, Wales, and Hungary.
For 10 days we went mountain-climbing (OMG - I was dying, it was so difficult), canoeing at the beautiful lake, sightseeing in the city and walking in the nature, or just sunbathing and getting to know each other and different cultures. We had some very special workshops about some green topics, for example organic farming, fair trade, CO2, renewal energy.

I have to say that I'm very proud of my little group of Italian youngsters: they were a great company, funny, nice and very open! Usually they say that Italians cannot speak foreign languages, but this time we really were the best to communicate in English - of course just after the Welsh people :) I'm very happy to got to know you guys, kisses to: Francesca, Valentina, Alessandro, Riccardo e Sergjio. I had so much fun, and I really turned 18 again with you, thank you so much!

I really hope we can stay connected to all the people we got to know during this camp.

Now I'm posting some photos from the camp and those that I took of the city of Esslingen - a twincity of Udine. I would like to thank to Margit for the "cultural" tour!!!

The United Nations declared 2010 to be the International Year of Biodiversity.
In this framework, on october Kaleidoscienza organizes a one-day-event to promote thoughts and ideas on topics concerning the role of biodiversity in our lives.

Kaleidoscienza, in collaboration with Graphicplayers, announce an open call for the international exhibition: '2010 BIO-GRAPHICS'.

The call '2010 BIO-GRAPHICS' is open to graphic designers, professionist or not, of any age and nationality; participants are invited to submit their work dealing with the call topic in the form of a poster.

le macchine inutili @ the Visionario | Green Spot Festival

Hi everyone, I was busy in the last weeks. Sorry for the late post! Last weekend I was at home to visit my parents and to relax and EAT. It was just a 3-day trip, because I had to come back to do a workshop about green advertising (www.greenspotfestival.com)
Now I'm posting some photos that I took at the opening of our new project "Le macchine inutili" at the Visionario in Udine. I want to thank to Maurizio Faleschini who worked so hard to built 2 of the original Bruno Munari's Useless Machines! You can see them at the entrance, they are exectly as the original ones, just like 30 times bigger! They look amazing, one of them is 6 meters long, incredible! We worked very well together, it was sometimes hard, and at the end I was tired of everything, but it was also a lot of fun. And I also want to thank to all who came to see/or will come to see our exhibition. It's free and it remains open until november 29! In the meantime we are already working in a new project + the calendar is coming, and more :)

Ho appena trovato questo interessantissimo sito americano che parla della grafica eco-sostenibile. Sarebbe da fare anche in Italia un sito che raccoglie informazioni per aiutare i grafici a progettare meglio, con più consapevolezza per l'ambiente.
