le macchine inutili @ the Visionario | Green Spot Festival

Hi everyone, I was busy in the last weeks. Sorry for the late post! Last weekend I was at home to visit my parents and to relax and EAT. It was just a 3-day trip, because I had to come back to do a workshop about green advertising (www.greenspotfestival.com)
Now I'm posting some photos that I took at the opening of our new project "Le macchine inutili" at the Visionario in Udine. I want to thank to Maurizio Faleschini who worked so hard to built 2 of the original Bruno Munari's Useless Machines! You can see them at the entrance, they are exectly as the original ones, just like 30 times bigger! They look amazing, one of them is 6 meters long, incredible! We worked very well together, it was sometimes hard, and at the end I was tired of everything, but it was also a lot of fun. And I also want to thank to all who came to see/or will come to see our exhibition. It's free and it remains open until november 29! In the meantime we are already working in a new project + the calendar is coming, and more :)

> this was one of my work: 'Optical Disturb' which I made with the help of Maurizio Faleschini
I'm very proud of it because I managed to create exactly what I imagined!

le macchine inutili

I'm in a Bruno Munari project!!! Our group of young graphic designers, Officine Creative, is working on a new exhibition which will held in october in Udine. We are constructing some "Macchine Inutili"/Useless Machines to celebrate one of our greatest artists and designers: Bruno Munari. The original Useless Machines were constructed of painted cardboard or other lightweight materials, they were meant to integrate with the sorrounding environment through their kinetic action. Now it's our work to invent new ways to create some installations! I have already done something but in the next week I'm going to do another project with the help of my teacher, Maurizio Faleschini! The first is (of course) a typoghraphic project, and the second is an optical installation inspired by the famous hungarian artist Victor Vasarely.

Visioni di un visionario - film ticket as a piece of art

Last year together with some very famous illustrators I was involved in an illustration project for the cinema Visionario in Udine. I was honoured to be among the first 6 people who could illustrate the back of the movie tickets, filling a space that usually is out of use.
It was also a way to commemorate a very innovative italian artist, illustrator and graphic designer Piermario Ciani, famous for his Mail art, died in 2006 at the age of 55.

The illustrators are: Guido Scarabottolo, Massimo Giacon, Andrea Rauch, Nancy Rossit, Emanuela Biancuzzi.

Here is an article in italian about the project:

This was my illustration for the Visionario movie tickets:
