Zolletta!!!

This is my cat, Zolletta! We adopted her last summer when she was this tiny! She's so cute, I love her so much :) By the way in italian 'Zolletta di zucchero' means sugarcube! So adorable!!!

Now she's big and also have an adopted brother, Wilson, a cat that we have found in front of our house in the cold winter! I'll post photos of him as well, soon :)

We need to do something...

Beautiful video from Joel Sartore, one of the National Geographic's famous photographers.

Our generation really needs to wake up and do something to protect the biodiversity.

"Autentico" booklet

Recently I have finished the layout of the booklet about the festival "Autentico" which was an event about a friulian red wine called "Schioppettino di Prepotto". We did this booklet to sum up the event for the sponsors and to have an archive for the next years. Here I'm posting some screenshots of the layout.

illustration for the association "Sulle ali di un angelo onlus" 2011 calendar

I'm posting my illustration for a very special 2011 calendar, for the association "Sulle ali di un angelo Onlus". They are a group of volounteers who try to help parents struggling with a loss of their child.
It is a very difficult and delicate issue and the organizer of this year's calendar wanted some illustrators to contribute with an illustration to give some hope to these people.
So with this illustration I tried to focus on how nature "works". When it is raining, usually everybody is kind of sad, but in the reality with this rain a small flower can start to bloom, and slowly the raindrops can colour also the field, and everything can be greener and happier.
Thanks to Roberta for calling me to do this illustration.
Also thanks to Anna and Vittorio, for their contribution to this project!

P.S: Do you see the sea turtle? :)

Tartaruga

I'm working on an illustration for a calendar 2011. It's nearly done... I will post it soon!
The topic is very very sad and it is difficult to illustrate. I'm curious what the other months will be like. I can't wait to see the other illustrators' work!
In the meanwhile I "accidently" have created this sea turtle. It came out form a stain.
I like stains and I like "accidents" like that. It is such a strange thing, I feel like I didn't do anything, it is just a beautiful stain.

Autentico: Schioppettino di Prepotto!

I'm going to Prepotto (near the Sloveinan border) tonight!!!

"Autentico: Schioppettino di Prepotto!" is the title of the event about a red wine of our region Friuli Venezia Giulia, called "Schioppettino di Prepotto". It was a very interesting and motivating collaboration where I was totally free to propose my graphics! Such a satisfaction!!!
Above you can see the main design element of the project made by watercolor.
